The Whiteweld Foundation formed to help children nationwide

New York, NY— The Investment Firm of Whiteweld, Barrister & Brown, founders of a real estate and financial services group of companies, announced the formation of The Whiteweld Foundation. The newly formed Foundation will have its headquarters on Park Avenue in New York City. Its mission: To promote the health, education, and welfare of children in our communities throughout the United States and abroad.

“Our family has roots in the educational system, so we’ve always had a strong interest in the well-being of children,” says Linda E. Bovino, Trustee. “The Whiteweld Foundation is an opportunity for us to give to children as never before through a wide range of innovative programs.”

The Whiteweld Foundation Board of Trustees includes: James J. Bovino, Chairman, Linda A. Bovino, Linda E. Bovino, James Bovino, Jr. and Robyn E. Bovino.

Johnson comments, “A desire to give back to society, and specifically to our youth, led to the creation of The Whiteweld Foundation, allowing the Bovinos to have a greater and greater impact on the future of our country and the world.”

By donating funds to local charitable organizations and to national charities in the form of grants, it is the Foundation’s aim to significantly enhance every aspect of child development.

In the area of health, The Whiteweld Foundation will help charitable organizations that provide aid to millions of children around the globe in need of everything from immunization to nutritious meals.

In education, funds will be providing our youth with the vital learning tools and expertise needed to meet the challenges that the future holds. The Foundation will also support uplifting creative programming for children that nurtures self-expression and original thought.

In conjunction with other companies, The Whiteweld Foundation has sponsored important civic events for the benefit of children of all ages. They are committed to local organizations helping youngsters close to home in ongoing grassroots assistance programs.

The Whiteweld Foundation’s efforts for children will take center stage at The Whiteweld Foundation Concert Series. This innovative new program will enlist well-known entertainers to perform at the most notable concert halls in the country.

The inaugural Concert Series’ events took place on November 29th at Alice Tully Hall. Posters outside the famous hall headlined “A Night of Nostalgia” starring The Duprees, Larry Chance and The Earls, as well as The Platters. The Count Basie Orchestra and Nancy Wilson later appeared at Carnegie Hall. On April 10th, Chuck Mangione and his 30-piece orchestra appeared on stage at Lincoln Center. These legendary performers have the proven appeal to make The Whiteweld Concert Series a powerful fund-raising tool, while celebrating creativity and an invincible spirit of hope.

Says Mr. Bovino, ”We are so pleased that The Foundation is able to provide grants that will enrich the lives of children here and around the world.”
